Young people's services evaluation report
Whizz-Kidz provides a number of additional services for young disabled people – known as Kidz Unlimited Services – including work placements, wheelchair skills training, youth groups and residential camps. These services are known as our Kidz Unlimited programme, which was evaluated by public sector research firm, Ekosgen, who found that Whizz-Kidz save save the government up to £49 for every £1 invested.

Whizz-Kidz Schools Consultation
Over the course of six months, Whizz-Kidz’s Kidz Board decided to survey as many young disabled people in full time education as possible on their experiences of education. A schools consultation was sent to over 20,000 mainstream and special needs schools.

My wheelchair is my shoes (All Party Parliamentary Group on Paediatric Mobility Reform)
In 2011, The All Party Parliamentary Group on Paediatric Mobility Reform – which Whizz-Kidz sponsors – published a report based on the testimonies of families and young people trying to access the right wheelchair for them.

Impact of Whizz-Kidz’s services
Frontier Economics - a leading economic firm - have published three reports on Whizz-Kidz's services.
- The Social Return on Investment report found that for every £1 spent on the right mobility equipment for disabled children, benefits of between £10 and £65 were delivered for parents, carers, schools NHS and local and central Government. Download the Social Return on Investment report.
- The Impact of Whizz-Kidz Services for Adults in Tower Hamlets report found that Whizz-Kidz significantly improves the adult wheelchair services in Tower Hamlets. The 'Whizz-Kidz effect' includes: higher satisfaction ratings from service users, financial savings and increasing the overall value of the service by 30-40%. - The Impact of Whizz-Kidz Support to PCTs report found that Whizz-Kidz achieves significant cost savings and improves the quality of service. For example, Whizz-Kidz works closely with wheelchair manufacturers, lowering the cost per wheelchair to £1,100 versus £2,500, enabling Whizz-Kidz and the NHS to reach more children. Don’t Push Me Around
‘Don’t Push Me Around!’ was produced in partnership with Barnardo’s in 2007 and looks at the state of wheelchair provision for children – at this time. The report was delivered to No. 10 Downing Street by a group of our young Ambassadors.
